Fall season is now upon us and I am so thankful! It’s my favorite time of the year, especially after the hot “dog days” of summer here in the south.

I like to ease into the fall season slowly, so for my first tablescape of the season, I went with a very neutral theme. I’m sure closer to Thanksgiving, you’ll see more of the bright traditional colors of fall popping up around my home.

"neutral

The focal point of my table is a DIY concrete bowl that I made recently. I filled it with beautiful neutral colored hydrangeas for a simple, elegant feel. Because my kitchen table is pine wood, I used a white runner from Hearth & Hand for my base and to add some contrast.

"diy

After that, I layered faux florals and branches to add another layer of texture. The concrete bowl sits on top of this bed of fall florals as the centerpiece.

I added brass candle sticks, pine cones, and faux pumpkins painted to look like concrete as well.

"thanksgiving

Each place setting consists of dollar store chargers that I sprayed for a new look. Black and white melamine plates from Hobby Lobby are a nice contrast to the neutral theme.

"mini

Each plate is topped with white cloth napkins and mini charcuterie boards, also from Hobby Lobby. Fall stems are tied with jute for another touch of fall.

Doing tablescapes for the different seasons or holidays doesn’t have to be expensive. I encourage you to do like I do and first, use what you have on hand. If you can diy some decor instead of spending money on it, go for it! I can assure you it’s much more fun to create beautiful decor for your home using your own two hands as much as possible.

Stay tuned for a couple more fall tablescapes this year. I’m planning to throw in one for Halloween as well 🙂

Hope you enjoy!
