I have written many poems over the years, but one particular poem is my favorite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was inspired by a period of time when I was dealing with the haunting memories of divorce while at the same time realizing just how far I had come in the process of healing my heart and soul. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although previously published, I wanted to share it on this new blog as well.  It&#8217;s my prayer that it will fall on fresh ears and bring healing to other hurting hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>BEGINNING AGAIN<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse has-text-align-center\"><em>I sat alone with the Lord\nMy heart bleeding inside\n\"How do I begin again?\"\nTo my Father I cried.\n\n\"Put your hand in mine\nI'll walk with you each step\nPut your trust in me\nFor I know just how to help\".\n\nSo I put my hand in His\nHe helped me to my feet\nFirst one step, then two\nThe hills became so steep.\n\nThen through the valleys we went\nSo far away from the sun\n\"Don't let go of my hand\nFor your journey has just begun\".\n\nThough the storms raged\nAnd the nights seemed so long\nI knew that my Lord\nWould never lead me wrong\n\nAt the end of the journey\nOn the mountaintop we stood\nI was thankful for the experience\nFor at last I understood\n\nI must go through the valleys\nAnd feel the rain on my face\nIt's then I grow close to Him\nAnd understand the gift of grace\n<\/em>\nLynn F.
