Valentine&#8217;s Day is the perfect day to show a little extra love to your children, parents, and friends as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">One day while browsing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeed.com\/kristatorres\/xx-cute-homemade-valentines-for-kids-that-youll-want-to-hand?epik=dj0yJnU9a2tESzNOT3lCZmlLYzJwckhfU1VnYUY3S3pzTVRydW4mcD0wJm49b1RVX3ZsWmRLNTVIbWxmbDY2RUwzQSZ0PUFBQUFBR1dfdzU4#10475555?utm_source=dynamic&amp;utm_campaign=bfsharepinterest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pinterest<\/a>, I came across this cute idea for a Valentine&#8217;s Day bookmark and decided to make some this year. You only need a few supplies to make them and they&#8217;re so easy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Supplies Needed:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Paint Swatches ( I recommend using traditional Valentine colors of reds and pinks for this project, or use the person&#8217;s favorite color). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B08LGYCBKW?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder_k3_1_18&amp;amp=&amp;crid=1Q0VTOWKH92OB&amp;amp=&amp;sprefix=heart+shaped+hole+\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Heart Shaped Hole Single Paper Hole Punch<\/a> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ribbon or yarn in complimentary color <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/athomeinthewildwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/easy-diy-valentines-craft-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"easy diy valentines craft\" class=\"wp-image-82151\" srcset=\"https:\/\/athomeinthewildwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/easy-diy-valentines-craft-rotated.jpg 480w, https:\/\/athomeinthewildwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/easy-diy-valentines-craft-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">You want to choose paint swatches in traditional Valentine&#8217;s Day colors like reds and pinks for this little project. For some reason, the only swatches I could find were too wide. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/athomeinthewildwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/diy-bookmark.jpg\" alt=\"diy bookmark for valentines\" class=\"wp-image-82149\" srcset=\"https:\/\/athomeinthewildwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/diy-bookmark.jpg 480w, https:\/\/athomeinthewildwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/diy-bookmark-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">So I got Mister to measure off for me and draw a line for me to cut them down smaller. (He&#8217;s a former draftsman, so I get him to do all my measuring for when I need a straight line on something lol!) <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/athomeinthewildwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/paint-sample-bookmark.jpg\" alt=\"paint swatch valentines craft\" class=\"wp-image-82152\" srcset=\"https:\/\/athomeinthewildwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/paint-sample-bookmark.jpg 480w, https:\/\/athomeinthewildwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/paint-sample-bookmark-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Once the paint swatch was the correct size, I just used the heart shaped paper hole punch and punched little hearts along the edge of the swatch. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/athomeinthewildwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/diy-valentines-bookmark-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"diy valentines bookmark\" class=\"wp-image-82150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/athomeinthewildwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/diy-valentines-bookmark-rotated.jpg 480w, https:\/\/athomeinthewildwood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/diy-valentines-bookmark-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">I did the same thing at the top of the swatch and tied a white piece of yarn to the end for a fun little embellishment. You could also use a piece of ribbon in a complimentary color. I didn&#8217;t have any handy, so I used yarn.
