Garden Rock (represents the stone placed in front of the tomb) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Miniature plants such as grass, succulents, and small flowers<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Small figurine of a cross (I made mine out of sticks and twine) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Small stones or pebbles for drainage if keeping the plants in the bowl long-term<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\nNote:<\/strong> You can also use faux plants for this project if you don’t want to worry about keeping the plants alive. <\/p>\n\n\n I chose a large shallow bowl as the base for my Resurrection Garden. <\/p>\n\n\n Then I filled the bowl with potting soil, leaving some space at the top for arranging my plants and other elements. Make sure to leave the soil evenly distributed and slightly compacted to provide a stable foundation for the Resurrection Garden. I also chose moisture control potting mix in hopes of preventing my plants from being overwatered in the short amount of time I will be leaving them here.<\/p>\n\n\n Then the fun part! I arranged a few of my miniature plants. I chose German Thyme, Hypoestes, and Vinca Vine and left a space for my decorative elements, which were the small terra cotta pot (tomb), a garden rock, and a cross I made out of sticks and twine. <\/p>\n\n\n You could also enhance the beauty of your Resurrection Garden by adding small stones and moss to cover the soil. I added a few pink and white faux flower blooms for a small pop of spring color. <\/p>\n\n\n When done, be sure to give your Resurrection Garden a gentle watering, being careful not to over-saturate the soil. Place it in a location with adequate sunlight or artificial light, depending on the needs of your plants. Remember to water and care for your garden regularly if you’re going to be keeping it out long-term. I’ll be transferring my plants to other containers soon, so I just need to keep an eye on mine here until Easter. <\/p>\n\n\n And there you have it \u2013 your very own DIY Resurrection Garden!
