I’ve missed YOU!

Hey there, sweet friends! I know it’s been forever it seems since I’ve published a blog post. To be honest, I had to put my blog on the backburner last year with so many different things going on. But let’s catch up!

The close of 2025 ended my time as the Brand Ambassador for American Farmhouse Style Magazine. Man, what a fun year! To be published in all of their magazines last year and to have the honor of taking over their social media each week was so much fun! It was alot of work too and one of the main reasons that I didn’t blog as much.

Another reason that my blogging slowed down was that I decided to open another vintage booth. I had enjoyed one for about a year before starting my brand ambassadorship with the magazine, but closed it because I felt like I didn’t have the time to devote to it. But last July, I saw light at the end of the tunnel with my magazine work and decided to try it again. This time, the store is under new ownership and they have really transformed the place! It got everyone excited that already had booths in the store and I got excited to give it another go 🙂

If you’re ever in the area, you’ve got to stop by Dejavu Vintage at 1077 First Ave. Rochelle, GA 31079. This is the same location my booth was before but this time I have the first two booth spaces on the right when you come in the door. I do hope you’ll check it out because they have done a wonderful job redoing the entire store and there are so many amazing treasures to be found with all the vendors!

In other BIG NEWS, Scott and I became a Mimi and Pops last year! His son, Austin and wife, Megan had a beautiful baby girl last February. It’s so hard to believe that we will be celebrating her first birthday soon! Time has really flown by and we are all smitten with her 🙂

Other events from 2025:

We sold our vintage camper, Rhonda and upgraded to a new one that’s big enough for a couple of guests. We camped several times last year, including trips to the beach and the mountains and love our new little home away from home 🙂 I even got to go kayaking for the first time last year and it was so much fun! I’ve been in canoes a ton of times, but have always wanted to try a kayak. It definitely won’t be the last.

Last spring, Mister also bought me the chicken coop of my dreams! I love it so much and with this terribly cold weather we’re currently experiencing, it makes my heart happy to know my chicken babies are safe and warm in there.

Well, I could go on and on about things that happened in 2025, but I’ll stop for now. Be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook to keep up with the regular happenings around here. Working two jobs, it’s so hard to squeeze in time to blog weekly like I used to. But I do want to get back to doing that. I’m trying to get organized enough to make it happen.

I’m still thrifting regularly and doing DIY and craft projects all the time. My main goal this year is to work on projects that add more charm and character to our home. We were on a tight budget when we built it over 17 years ago, so I’m really itching to add some timeless charm to our spaces…especially now that I’ve honed my style and learned so much more about design since then.

Well, I’ll leave you with that and I hope to be in touch with you again soon. If you’re not subscribed to my blog, be sure to do so. I’ve got something fun in the works for this spring and you will not want to miss it! Email subscribers will hear about it first 🙂

Stay warm, friends!
