Chip’s Appalachian Trail Adventure: children’s book
Several years ago, I got the idea for this cute little book 🙂
We were training and preparing ourselves to go on our first ever section hike on the Appalachian Trail.
My cousin, who is also my neighbor, had a little dog named Chip who always tagged along when we came walking down the road by their house. While wearing my backpack one particular day we were walking, I wondered if little Chip would enjoy going for a hike in the mountains as well. And the idea for Chip’s Appalachian Trail Adventure was born 🙂
It took several years for me to make the time to write this little book. And then I had to figure out what to do about getting an illustrator. My son, Dillan is a very talented artist and creative and he agreed to illustrate this book for me. He had actually done the illustrations for my first book, God’s Gals: Lessons in Forgiveness, Courage, Serving, & Sharing that I wrote many years ago. Lucky for me, he had the time to work on this book as well in his free time 🙂
