Easy DIY Valentine’s Day craft for kids and adults alike
Valentine’s Day isn’t just for that one special person in your life. Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to show a little extra love to your children, parents, and friends as well.
One day while browsing Pinterest, I came across this cute idea for a Valentine’s Day bookmark and decided to make some this year. You only need a few supplies to make them and they’re so easy!
Supplies Needed:
- Paint Swatches ( I recommend using traditional Valentine colors of reds and pinks for this project, or use the person’s favorite color).
- Heart Shaped Hole Single Paper Hole Punch
- Ribbon or yarn in complimentary color
- Scissors
You want to choose paint swatches in traditional Valentine’s Day colors like reds and pinks for this little project. For some reason, the only swatches I could find were too wide.
So I got Mister to measure off for me and draw a line for me to cut them down smaller. (He’s a former draftsman, so I get him to do all my measuring for when I need a straight line on something lol!)
Once the paint swatch was the correct size, I just used the heart shaped paper hole punch and punched little hearts along the edge of the swatch.
I did the same thing at the top of the swatch and tied a white piece of yarn to the end for a fun little embellishment. You could also use a piece of ribbon in a complimentary color. I didn’t have any handy, so I used yarn. Either way, I think it’s adorable 🙂
