DIY Natural Insect Repellent Candle
It’s summer here in the south, so there are LOTS of mosquitos!!!
To help us continue to enjoy our time outside on the patio this summer, I made these adorable DIY natural insect repellent candles. And they’re working great!
Learn how to make natural insect repellent candles
Supplies you will need for these DIY Natural Insect Repellent Candles:
- Quart or pint jar (I even used some other storage jars I had on hand)
- 1 grapefruit
- 1 lemon
- Few sprigs of Rosemary
- A floating candle
- Water
- Citronella essential oil (8-10 drops)
Directions:
Slice up your grapefruit and lemon. Layer the fruit along with sprigs of rosemary in the jar. Fill the jar with water. Add 8-10 drops of citronella essential oil. Top with a floating candle. Light your all natural insect repellent candle and enjoy in your favorite outdoor spot for up to a week.
These DIY all natural insect repellent candles are not only pretty to look at, but they work so well! Knowing that the ingredients are all natural and safe make this little project even more rewarding.
