Three Benefits of Using Removable Wallpaper

Alot of measuring is involved
A straight edge is helpful to draw a line where the paper needs to be cut.
After making sure your surface is clean and free of any debris, you’re ready to hang your first piece.
You use the header you cut off first to mark on the surface the width of each piece. This will help you as you line up each consecutive piece.
Normally, you would allow a little excess on top and then go back and cut it off with a utility knife once the piece is correctly installed. Because this was under the bar edge and no one would ever see it, we started hanging the paper flush with the top of the cabinet.
Once the top is secure, you just reach under the roll and pull down the excess, slowly pressing the wallpaper onto the surface and smoothing it as you go. We actually used a credit card to help us smooth the paper down and get out any bubbles or wrinkles trying to form.
As each piece was securely attached to the surface, we went back and cut off the excess from the sides and bottom with a utility knife.
The most difficult part of the process is matching up the pattern on a surface that isn’t completely square…..and let’s face it, what surface is? But we kept working at it and trimming until we got it just right. After only three sheets, we were near the end of the bar and the space was already looking so much better.
On the end of the bar, we also had to cut out an area for the outlet. As long as you are sure to remove the outlet cover before applying the wallpaper, it’s easy to cover up any little imperfections with cuts around the outlet.
The last thing we did was cut small strips of the wallpaper to cover the two wood edges of the bar. After doing that, the project was complete and looks amazing. The design is so beautiful, that you would swear you are actually looking at real painted bricks.
