Patriotic Table Centerpiece Ideas

As we head into the summer season, I love to add touches of red, white, and blue around my home. Nothing says “summer” to me like the colors of our beautiful American flag. I also love to incorporate these colors in patriotic table centerpieces when I entertain.

Summer is when we celebrate Memorial Day and Independence Day, so red, white, and blue is the perfect color combination for patriotic theme when decorating.

Whether you’re hosting a backyard bar-b-que or entertaining inside for one of the summer holidays, here are three patriotic table centerpiece ideas for you.

1. Patriotic Floral Arrangements: Create a stunning centerpiece by arranging red, white, and blue flowers in a vase. Use flowers such as red roses, blue hydrangeas, and white crepe myrtle blooms. You can also add small American flags or patriotic ribbons to the arrangement to make it even more festive.

2. Vintage Military Memorabilia: If you have a collection of vintage military memorabilia such as helmets, medals, or photographs, consider using them as a centerpiece. Arrange them on a table runner along with small American flags and candles. This creates a unique and meaningful display that honors those who have served. Even vintage patriotic photographs alone arranged with little American flags are perfect for a simple table centerpiece.

3. BBQ-Themed Centerpiece: If you’re hosting a Memorial Day or July 4th barbecue, consider using a BBQ-themed centerpiece and table decorations. Use red checked tablecloths to cover your tables. Place simple cut arrangements on top of wooden rounds as your centerpiece. Small white vases or even glass jars would be perfect containers to hold your flowers. Tie them off with a cute red and white ribbon. Red and white dishes or paper products add to the festive look of your table.

Having just celebrated Memorial Day, summer has unofficially begun for us here in the south. Now that we have our DIY patio project completed, I’m looking forward to decorating that space for the July 4th holiday.

I hope your summer gets off to a great start, friends! Enjoy experimenting with some of these ideas for your own patriotic table centerpieces.
